The MASA Seed Foundation invites your participation in our Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Join us as MASA reinvigorates agricultural history when regional food production and ‘on-farm’ crop breeding were commonplace.

Your MASA CSA Supports…

• ORGANIC SEED research and development of a Regional Seed Bank serving local farmers and gardeners of Boulder County and the Front Range.

• THE GROWTH and SECURITY of our local food movement.

How it Works

Throughout the growing season our MASA CSA ‘‘pick of the week’’ will be posted in your email inbox with a current product price listing as well.

Every Friday afternoon from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM - Noon the farm stand will open with our entire weekly produce offering.

Fresh produce will be washed, sorted, and displayed in full market fashion for your shopping experience. It’s our intention to provide you with the freshest nutrient-dense produce at a fair market value.

Choose from these options:

1. Customers’ Choice (Credit line)

All prepaid members will have the option to shop for the produce they’d like to take home for the week. Purchases will be applied toward your existing CSA ‘‘credit line’’ throughout the growing season. You will receive a MASA e-gift card to assure accurate tracking of all on farm purchases.

* If credit amount is used before season’s end you can purchase an additional MASA E-gift Card starting at $100. Any remaining credit from Summer Program can be carried over to Winter Keeper Share through December. Credits are not carried over to future seasons and we encourage you to participate weekly and enjoy the full season of farm fresh produce.

2. Farmer’s Choice (Veggie Box)

• FAMILY OF 4 size SUMMER SEASON $850/Weekly PER BOX FOR 21 WEEKS

• STANDARD SIZE SUMMER SEASON $600/Weekly BOX FOR 21 WEEKS

Each week the farmer will pick and choose a box of the farm’s choice vegetables to the value corresponding to your share size. Add-ons will be available for purchase at the farm stand pickup.

3. Flower Subscription

We offer a 6-week Summer Flower Subscription starting June 14th for $210 and an 8-week Fall Flower Subscription starting August 2nd for $280.  Each subscription gets you a beautiful weekly bouquet of our best flowers for the duration of your subscription. Flowers come arranged for you to pick up and enjoy.

Pickups will be on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2-5pm your choice!

Flower subscriptions make great gifts - just specify a recipient. 

What kind of produce can I expect?

It’s our intention to provide a diverse offering of high quality fresh produce and dried products throughout the growing season-going into winter as well.

Spring/Summer

June markets and veggie boxes are filled with fresh salad and braising greens such as arugula, lettuce, spinach, peas, scallions, herbs and young root vegetables until we roll into July and August when the summer fruits such as snap beans, cucumbers, melons, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, herbs, roots and select greens continue. This is cut flowers time as well!

Autumn

As we move into September the cornucopia unfolds into the season’s broadest and most diverse selection. Along with all the items mentioned above you can expect broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and fresh potatoes! This late summer bounty continues through October when the official main season ends on Halloween.

Winter Keeper Share

November is when cold hardy greens and ‘‘Winter Keepers’’ such as carrots, beets, burdock, radish, onions, leeks, rutabaga, turnips, and hard squash are the main fare. We’ll close with a selection of grain amaranth, dry corn, heritage wheats, and other dried products such as chiles and herbs.
